Prayer Update Jun 2018

Greetings Friends and Families

There is so much that I could share this month, so I need to be very selective.

Forgive me for being late, particularly the Missionary Prayer Group @Well Church, Ansdell, who regularly pray so faithfully for me and others and meet together on the third Monday each month. Bless you all, where ever you are in the world, who choose to receive these monthly updates, for your faithfulness in prayer.

The highlight of our month since the May update has to be the visit of Heidi & Rolland Baker and the team of IRIS leaders from Mozambique. We were blessed by Carolyn & Helga of Iris Uganda for allowing us to use their van, and by my friend Tom (www.lifetimesafaris.com) who also loaned me one of his vans, so that Malik and I could drive the team back and forth to the Ugandan International Prayer Mountain where Heidi was speaking for two days.

Rolland; pilot Kelly; Heidi’s personal assistant Marina; Egas director of Pemba Operations; Benjamin; Neto; Sergio; and Rapheal arrived safe after a quick 7-hour flight in the IRIS aeroplane from Mozambique, on Saturday 26th May. Pastor Idi joined us from IRIS South Sudan/Uganda. Rolland was pretty exhausted after much travelling before the journey here, so he skipped supper and settled in bed. We somehow missed photographing their arrival and supper, so let's start with breakfast, on Sunday morning before our drive to the Prayer Mountain for our first session there. Hope you like the handmade gifts I received from the team. Traditional Mozambique headgear, keychain and two nice IRIS CDs.

Each day at Africamp a different nation gave testimony as to what God was doing in their nation; our first day was a long presentation from the South Korean delegates. Maybe someone will remind me who the other nations flag was? Then another day our very own pastor John Sebit represented South Sudan.

Some views of the Prayer Mountain. (It really is quite a long steep drive from the valley to the top of this mountain.) And lunch with the monkeys on the first day.

Rolland and the team decided that Monday should be a relaxing day so we did touristy stuff and visited the source of the river Nile at Jinja.

Heidi arrives and supper time:

Tuesday morning Rolland speaks at Bweyogerere Pastors Fellowship. (One pastor communicated to me afterwards:

"Hey David.You are right.

I was greatly touched deep in my heart when Rolland prayed for me.

I was really set free and  exprienced a flesh touch from the father.

My spirit was revived and have received revived.

To me,Tuesday marked the end of the old and the beginning of the new season.

Am glad that I came and connected to people with Father's heart grace!!!"

Heidi introduces muslim Boda Boda Hussein to Jesus:

Tuesday morning fun and blessings in our garden before driving to Prayer Mountain:

Tuesday & Wednesday at the Prayer Mountain; Heidi is the closing speaker each day. (Afterward I communicated to one of the organising pastors: "On behalf of IRIS Uganda let me thank you and your colleagues for your patience and flexibility in organising accommodation for Heidi and Rolland; and for everything that made an enjoyable visit for our children and young people. Blessings in abundance to you. David T Atkinson”

He  replied "Thank you and Amen. It was a great blessing and honour to work with Iris Uganda to host Heidi and Rolland. Her humility, simplicity and ministry were a tremendous blessing to us. Blessings." Pr Peter
