Greetings Friends and Families
First let thank Greg at the Well Church, Ansdell for circulating my monthly prayer updates. The time has come for me tolerant how to do this myself, as it really didn’t make economic sense for me to send and Greg to resend. It will also be easier for everyone just to hit the reply button if you want to comment back to me. I love to hear your news too!
There seemed to be a small number of addresses missing from the list that Greg gave back to me, so I have added them. Your names and email addresses are now confidential to me and will never be used for anything other than my communications to each of you.
We have the car back after repairs that the lorry caused that crashed into the front when Malik was driving, looking nice even though we repaired it with used components to keep the cost low; even so it was UGX1M more than expected, because on road test the steering rack had to be replaced. The police prosecuted the driver on three counts: 1. Leaving the scene of the accident; 2. not attending to our injured driver; 3. Driving a vehicle with defective tyres, so not in roadworthy condition.The lorry owner is refusing to pay, so I have to take hime to court to try and get the £2,750 that the repairs cost. I really don’t like doing so, but the vehicle is essential tool on all aspects of my ministry. Whilst our van has been under repair IRIS Uganda (Carolyn Figlioli and Helga Preece) have been very generous in allowing us to use heir van most of the time.
God’s Centre of Blessings Church, a member of the Bweyogerere Pastors Fellowship hosted their 21st annual Leadership conference. These 21 years Mike Howell Baptist pastor from England has been the speaker. This year the title was ‘The Foundations of Leadership’ 1 Cor 3:1-22. We had delegates from many parts of Uganda, some from Rwanda, Congo and Kenya.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support; All donations are used for the specific purpose indicated by the donor, otherwise they are used for ministry on the ground in East Africa, none is spent on administration etc.
